Joining the team at CCS feels like the culmination of all my previous experiences coming together in the perfect spot. After completing a degree in psychology, I started my career in the social services sector. I learned a great deal about the importance of providing high quality, person-centred support to some of society’s most vulnerable individuals.

As my career evolved and I began to assume more leadership responsibilities, I developed a keen interest in Human Resources. I realized that in order for social and community service workers to effectively assist their service recipients to achieve their personal goals, they needed the backing of a strong organization to provide them with guidance, policies, procedures and resources to support the achievement of clear and attainable performance expectations.

Since that realization, I have attained my designation as a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and served in the HR departments at a number of social and community service agencies since 2001. When not working I enjoy activities that promote a balanced lifestyle, including exercise, cooking healthy food, reading, coffee dates with friends and eagerly anticipating the release of the next Star Wars movie!
