Poverty Beyond the Beauty

Farmers and food distributors now have a place for their excess produce and other products where it will supplement the nutritional needs of many Caledon residents. At the Exchange, everyone can access healthy, fresh food and information about how to plant, prepare, preserve and enjoy it!

Our community kitchen is a place to gather and learn from expert chefs about everything from basic nutrition to how to prepare a gourmet meal. For those needing supplies, the food support program provides a selection of healthy fresh and packaged food helping to ensure nutritional needs are met.

The Exchange is a social destination for everyone! Here, residents of Caledon can participate in general interest courses ranging from yoga to preserving basics to great meals on a budget classes. At the Exchange, social support comes in the form of extended programs addressing life’s challenges such as finding a job or affordable housing or simply sharing a cup of coffee and your story.

Think of the Exchange as a communal table where we can all come to share a meal with our neighbours, have a conversation, learn and participate. Visit us today!

Transportation may be available to travel to the Exchange as well as to other community and CCS programs. Please inquire with your program contact to apply (subject to eligibility and availability).
